THE GREAT EXPOSITION GUIDE BOOK
This “interactive” digital version of the Exposition Guidebook is best viewed on computers or tablets.
For viewing on mobile phones the non-interactive downloadable PDF is recommended.
The artifacts in this guide book, culled from the Neighbourhood Project Archive, were discovered and aquired by myself between 2015 and 2026. I selected each curiosity so that together they might shed some light on a perplexing and troubled event that may or may not be a pivotal turning point in the history of The Neighbourhood, The Great Exposition.
The collection was first exhibited as Stories from The Neighbourhood: The Great Exposition, in 2024, at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art as part of Prospect 6 New Orleans, The Future is Present, The Harbinger is Home, curated by Miranda Lash and Ebony G. Patterson.
In 2025 the collection was exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, as part of the exhibition The Future is Present, The Harbinger is Home: Selections from Prospect 6 New Orleans.
In 2026, Stories from The Neighbourhood: The Great Exposition was exhibited at The Queens Park Gallery in Barbados. This exhibition featured two aditional curiosities. The first, Mr.______ Presents: Starman in Theory Part 3, A Living-room Slide Lecture (Reinacted) was discovered in 2019 and exhibited in An Alternative Map of the Universe, at Guest Projects London, an exhibition conceived by Niccolò Moronato, Jessica Taylor and Abbas Zahedi. The second, The Cannibal Canal of Love, was a recent discoverey added to the collection in 2026.
I hope you find this guide useful to your studies, somehow.
